Did you know that as of October 1, 2010, the DOT has established new rules for administering drug screens?
On October 1, all Federal and DOT mandated drug screens changed from a 5 panel test to a 7 panel. The new test includes MDA-Analogues (Ecstasy) and 6-Monoacetylmorphine (Heroine).
In addition, there are also stricter cutoff levels for Cocaine and Amphetamines.
The initial cutoff level for Cocaine Metabolites is now 150 ng/ml with the confirmation level at 100 ng/ml. This compared to the previous values of 300 ng/ml and 150 ng/ml.
The initial cutoff level for Amphetamines is now 500 ng/ml with the confirmation level at 250 ng/ml. This compared to the previous values of 1000 ng/ml and 500 ng/ml/.
